I have had a long day in the kitchen and I want to share my Valentine’s Day recipes with you!

Valentine’s Day Recipes
Toad in Hole–> V-Day style
-Use a cookie cutter to cut a heart shaped hole into the center of the bread.
-Oil the skillet and crack the egg into the hole.
-Wait until the white has cooked through
enough to flip…
-Wait for it…(if you flip too early the egg will run everywhere and ruin the heart)…
Valentine Love Crack!
- Saltine Crackers
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- Sprinkles (optional)
-Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and spray it with a light coat of cooking oil.
-Lay the saltines out to cover the sheet.
-Preheat to 350 F.
-Cook brown sugar and butter over medium heat until boiling.
-Remove from heat and pour the mixture over the crackers.
-Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the warm cracker toffee.
-Spread the chocolate chips out when they are soft.
-I added some sea salt to one half of the toffee.
-Add sprinkles if you want a little color 🙂
-Break into pieces and store in the refrigerator.
Honey & Peanut Butter Granola Bars
- 2/3 cups honey (local if available)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 3 cups Cereal (I use Honey Bunches of Oats with Greek Yogurt)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 cup almond slices (optional)
- Kid’s option: 1/4 cup M&Ms
-Bring the brown sugar, honey, peanut butter and butter to a boil in a medium saucepan.
-Remove from heat after reaching a boil.
-Stir in vanilla and cereal.
-Press into a foil lined pan.
-Sprinkle almonds on top. (or you can add this into the mixture)
-For little man’s version I added 1/4 cup of M&Ms to the mix. Yum:)
Salmon with Parsley Lemon Butter en croute (Husband’s Favorite!)
- 2 salmon fillets
- 2 puff pastries (I just used Pillsbury Crescent Rolls)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 Tbsp Parsley
- Juice from half of a lemon
-Beat butter, parsley and lemon juice to make the flavored butter
-Spoon a generous amount of the butter onto the fillet.
-Place another piece of the pastry of crescent on top of the fillet.
-Pinch edges to close.
-You can use a spoon to make fish scales on the pastry if you wish.
-Brush the pastry with a beaten egg for a crispier crust.
-Let it chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
-Bake at 375 F for aobut 20 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
