If you have purchased my Homemade Household Ebook Collection (or any of the sub-category ebooks) and you have questions about any of the ingredients that are listed, then this is the post for you! Here is where you will find the product ingredient list for the Household Cleaning, Bath & Body, and Barn & Garden recipes. Each item has a clickable link so that you can see the specific products that I use and recommend.
Homemade Household Product Ingredient List
Vinegar is the cornerstone ingredient in my cleaning supply collection. The acidity in vinegar makes it a great choice for cutting through grease and dirt. It does have disinfectant properties, but there is no scientific evidence that it will kill harmful bacteria like salmonella. You can read more about cleaning with distilled white vinegar here.
Bar Soap for Laundry Powder
You can purchase beeswax in bars or in pellets. I prefer to use the pellets because they are easier to measure and melt down for these recipes.

If your shea butter looks a little gritty, melt it down before adding it into your recipes. As it re-solidifies, it should turn out smooth and creamy. I have been using the shea butter found in the link above, but I plan to try this one out next time.
There is an option via this link to purchase deodorized cocoa butter. This is a good idea if you do not want a chocolatey smell in your finished product.
Be very careful when using lye. It is recommended to wear rubber gloves and goggles/safety glasses while working with this ingredient. Keep in mind that when your soap is saponified and cured, there will be no lye left so you do not have to worry about the finished produce being harmful as long as you follow the correct procedure.
